[Feature Spotlight] Update contact details with a link to a web form
Your customers change over time, and if you don’t stay on top of things, you may end up losing them.
With our contact update form feature, you can ask your customers to update their contact details, like their email addresses, via SMS. It generates a unique link and web form for all your customers.
And if you’re keen, you can also take this opportunity to request for additional information by adding custom fields to your lists beforehand. They show up as blank fields in the web form.
Example text message:
Existing contact information is pre-filled, but they’re adjustable. And as mentioned above, new custom fields show up as blank on the web form. Try not to go overboard with them though—too many may deter your customers from updating anything at all. Test the waters with only one or two.
If your customers filled out the additional fields, then that’s a bonus. You can find the new details in Burst, and you can use it to create personalised SMS campaigns. Personalised SMS messages have many advantages, and we encourage you to read about and try them if you haven’t done so already.
And that’s it! Here’s our step-by-step guide to help you get started with our contact update form feature.
